Privacy Policy

How we handle the information you give us.

Who we are

Effect Energy Inc. ("Effect Energy," "we," "us") is a licensed California smart energy company (CSLB #1014270, C-10 Electrical) located at 32244 Paseo Adelanto, Suite D7, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675. This policy explains what we do with personal information collected through effectenergy.org and in the course of providing our services.

What information we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and do the work:

  • Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, property address, and anything you write in the message field of a form or tell us on a call.
  • Consent records. If you check the SMS consent box, we record that you checked it, the exact wording you agreed to, and the date and time.
  • Project information. Utility bills, usage data, roof and electrical panel details, photos, and permit-related documents you provide or authorize us to obtain.
  • Basic technical data. Standard web server information such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed.

How we use it

  • To respond to your request and schedule an assessment
  • To prepare designs, proposals and contracts
  • To perform the work, including permits and utility interconnection
  • To communicate with you about your project by phone, email and — if you opted in — text message
  • To meet legal, licensing, tax and warranty obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it.

SMS and phone data

No mobile information or text-messaging opt-in data and consent is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS purposes are used solely to communicate with you about your project and your request.

We may share your phone number with our messaging service provider strictly for the purpose of delivering the messages you asked for. That provider is contractually prohibited from using the information for any other purpose.

You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Full details are in our SMS Terms.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only with parties who need it to deliver the service you asked for, and only to the extent needed:

  • Equipment manufacturers and distributors, for warranty registration and product support
  • Building departments and utilities, for permits, inspections and interconnection
  • Service providers who operate our email, messaging, scheduling and document-signing systems
  • Professional advisors, and government or law-enforcement bodies where we are legally required

We do not share your information with third-party advertisers or data brokers.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses only what is necessary for the site to function. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. If we add analytics in future, this policy will be updated before it goes live.

How long we keep it

We keep project records for as long as needed to support warranties, permits and legal obligations — generally the life of the system plus applicable record-keeping periods. Consent records are retained for as long as required to demonstrate compliance. If you ask us to delete your information and we are not legally required to keep it, we will.

Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use it
  • Request a copy of that information
  • Request deletion of that information, subject to legal exceptions
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our services are directed to property owners and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted here.
